Document the source of truth
Identify where product titles, images, prices and stock are maintained. The correct setup depends on the integration in use. Without a clear owner, two teams may update the same field in different places and unintentionally undo one another’s work.
Check variants one by one
Review representative products with different sizes, colors and bundles. Confirm identifiers and option labels match the item that will be fulfilled. Similar-looking variants deserve particular attention because a mapping error can be difficult to notice until a customer receives the wrong product.
Review the order handoff
Use the integration’s supported tools to check how orders, shipping details and status updates appear. Document the expected behavior and the exception path. Avoid assuming that a successful product sync proves the entire order workflow is working correctly.
Keep promotion changes coordinated
Price and discount changes should be reviewed across the relevant channels. A promotion that is clear on one storefront can create confusion elsewhere if the product configuration differs. Coordinate timing with stock availability and the creators promoting the offer.
Create an exception log
Record recurring sync problems with the affected product, date and observed behavior. Assign a person to investigate and close each issue. A short, structured log helps distinguish isolated mistakes from patterns that require a deeper integration review.
